Match Prediction: Chelsea

Chelsea in for a beating this weekend
Premiership champions 2005/06
This Saturday Aston Villa travel to Stamford Bridge to meet Chelsea, a team who haven't lost this season and probably more significantly haven't conceded a goal yet.

There should be a little confidence heading into this game after the result from last night but Wycombe are a division 2 side so this won't last long.

To try and put things into perspective Chelsea should be in a league above us. Jose Mourinho is a different type of manager to David O'Leary - he has abilities and skills that David O'Leary just isn't aware of.

We've all read what Arsene Wenger has said about 'football and entertainment' in the press the past few days but I disagree with him and would have Villa play like Chelsea week in week out if it meant results.

If playing like Chelsea meant we were playing in Europe I think most Villa fans would also accept it just as most Chelsea fans do.

Football is about winning matches. Entertaining football for me is a bonus not a prerequisite - Arsenal fail in Europe because of this.

Mourinho wins games and that is his job. If David O'Leary could emulate 20% of Mourinho we'd be in Europe and we'd all be happy.

Chelsea don't play the best or most entertaining football and because of this we have a slim chance (as slim a chance of me not having a beer while watching the match) but when push comes to shove they can also move it up a gear and because of this I'm predicting a defeat.

I'm going for 3-0 to Chelsea simply because I think Villa, under David O'Leary, are a below average team and because Chelsea have scored, on average, two goals a game so far this season.
