Mellberg set to leave Aston Villa

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet is today reporting that Olof Mellberg may be off to Middlesbrough in the January transfer window and that Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce is also interested. According to the newspaper both clubs are preparing bids of ?2.5mn.
The headline in the Swedish paper says that Mellberg is fed up at Aston Villa and under current boss David O'Leary who could blame him?
