Michael Owen: A very pretty boy

All of the big boys have rejected him like the aforementioned crack whore and I don't blame them. He hasn't looked the player of 5 years ago for about well, 5 years.

I think Michael Owen, a bit like David Beckham, is picked for England because of his media image rather than his footballing ability and I think that is why nobody wants him, or none of the big three and Liverpool.

Don't get me wrong he's a really good player but is he any better than Wayne Rooney or is David Beckham clearly better than Shaun Wright Phillips, both no I'm afraid.

But he has something to prove and this is exactly why I think Villa should have a go at signing him.

Isn't it all about ambition an desire and playing good football?

Chelsea are going to win the Premiership this season and probably the one after that and the one after that. Michael Owen knows this so why would he want to play for United or Arsenal knowing he won't win it?

It's all about ambition and if Villa showed a little more ambition maybe he would come to Villa Park, or maybe he wouldn't.

But we all know why we'll not go for him and ultimately the reason why he wont come to us. Doug Ellis, the lying bastard who has drained all the ambition from our club.
