Milner deal agreed?

It may only be the Sunday People, so treat it with caution, but they've "revealed" that Villa have agreed a deal with Newcastle for the permanent transfer of James Milner.

I don't think there's one Villa fan who wouldn't like to see a player of James skill and potential join the ranks of VP and I would welcome him with open arms.

James loves playing and gives his all, and we've certainly missed him massively since he's been laid absent with his viral infection.

Just look at our record since Milner was injured: P6 W0 D2 L4 F2 A9.

It speaks for itself.

I think it's pretty bad we've had to rely on a 20-year-old to provide us with the oomph, but look at least season: where would we have been without Nobby Solano?

Maybe it's not O'Leary, maybe we're just lacking creativity in the team. I think we're relying too heavily on a few players, particularly youngsters.

Gavin McCann couldn't create a mess, Barry is always nearly a great player and Davis is still only 21.

I think O'Leary knows we need a creative player and no doubt with funds he will acquire one, but we also need a strike and some defenders and he can only address so much in each transfer window.

Let's hope Milner's return today can get three points as that will almost certainly mean we've survived the drop for this season and will leave Birmingham well and truly in the sh...
