Mixed messages from O'Leary

David O'Leary
Doh!
Maybe I'm just thinking too much about what David O'Leary says these days and should probably do what he does and not think about them but what he's said today about Nolberto Solano has got me thinking.

Solano comes out at the weekend and as good as says to Liverpool 'come and get me' and O'Leary today has said that he wouldn't stand in the way of any player wanting to leave Villa Park.

Now, like I said I'm probably making a fatal mistake when commenting on what David O'Leary says but does that sound like a manager who wants the player to stay or does it sound like a manager that is offering his player to potential suitors?

O'Leary isn't the brightest spark in the toolbox and has often said stuff that I'm sure he regrets but this is surely not another mistake from the manager, is it?

Is David O'Leary up to something, does he have someone lined up ready to come in or is he as stupid as stupid does? Have any views, let me know by emailing damian@astonvilla.biz.
