Newcastle have more ambition than Aston Villa

Saturday, 03 December 05, 09:06 AM · Comments (0)

It is been widely speculated that Newcastle boss Graeme Souness has to beat Villa today or he faces the chop and for me it just confirms what everyone else in football already knows - Aston Villa are happy as long as they are in the Premiership.

The really sad thing is that everyone knows Souness will not finish the season, it's as clear as day. Managers like Souness and O'Leary are not like Ferguson and football today is very different to when Ferguson was in his third season.

I suspect O'Leary will be off if he doesn't win today and against Bolton but I'm only hoping. What really gets me is we've already accepted that he isn't Ferguson and football today is very different to when Ferguson started at Old Trafford so it's now only a matter of time before he does go so why wait.

I want Aston Villa to win today but I've predicted a defeat and if Villa do lose it's not going to bother me if it means O'Leary gets the sack - it will only bother me if he doesn't get the sack when it is clear he should and has been for a long time.
