Tonight should be a formality, but I suggested that about last Saturday and look what happened. However, I'm going to go all out and actually say, it is a formality.
It's not that they're not a decent side, you can only play what is put in front of you week in week out, it's that we're a much stronger side and we're at Villa Park.
I'd actually be a little worried if we didn't have the three goal advantage and if it was all square or maybe just the one goal, I'd maybe not be as confident but I think it's fair to say we'll go through after tonight.
Martin O'Neill is set to rest some players ahead of the visit from Liverpool this weekend, but with him allowed to have the rest of the first team squad on the bench, if things do start to go a little pear shaped, which they won't, he'll be able to bring on reinforcements.
I'm hoping to see quite a few of the younger squad players get a run out tonight and I think if they do, they'll do well. In essence the quality of FH Hafnarfjordur is going to be much like a Championship side and it will be good experience for them. I'd really like to see Nathan Delfouneso play as I think if he's given the opportunities, he'll get the goals.
So, without any rumours to discuss yet, it's all about tonight. I'm going to predict a 3-0 win.

It was originally developed in Mambo then I moved to Joomla yes.
I took out all the allowed to Joomla references to stave off hackers and script kids ... I'm a bit of a Joomla junkie and run a few Joomla sites in my spare time

Fair enough, I'd always been a bit narrow minded to open source software but you did a good job. I may give joomla another chance.
Villa_Chris, can't imagine our back 4 line up will be completely different. We seem to need geling at the back and match practice would be the best way. Be interesting to see if/when Guzan gets a game or if friedel is gonna be immovable despite any dodgy form.

True Villain from the north, they will gel only with time and practice. I persume Barry will be left back because Shorey has picked up an injury against Stoke. Other than Barry, who can play there? Did Stieber play there in some pre season?

Stieber played left back once we had pre season in Spain(or Vs Reading)I did not watch the game so I cant rate his performace.
I wouldn't really expect him to start there tonight. Ive seen him a few times for the reserves and he looks promising. Think his favoured position is left midfield though. A bit small and light at the moment to be included in the first team squad.

My prediction is 3-1 or 3-2, even against poor team like FH Hafnarfjordur we looked shakey at the back and was lucky to get away with only conceding one. Although we are always dangerous going forward and have got many a goal in us whoever the opponents.
Milner (if the transfer request is for us to bid) would be a great signing, nice to see a player wanting to come to us and join MONs english revolution. Just my opinion but seeing him against Coventry he was outstanding and MON could guide him into a solid player for us for many seasons to come.
barry end of season for 2.5m ,thats the risk we have created,lets hope we get fourth so the cl thing as a reason for leaving is no longer.
Put it this way, they have to score 4 unanswered goals just to take the lead. 3-0 to them still means we win.
Even playing our U18 team I'd expect us to get through, but maybe losing the leg.
