Owen not likely but Bouma's back

Friday, 02 December 05, 09:32 AM · Comments (0)

Ahead of this critical match for both managers comes good news for Aston Villa. Michael Owen isn't likely to start and Wilfred Bouma is.

Owen likes to score goals against Villa and has a habit of doing it quite often. Him not playing is a bonus but I still don't think it will be enough of a bonus for O'Leary.

Only one of these two will likely have a job on Monday and I hope it is Souness.

I never thought I'd say this but I don't care if Aston Villa lose on Saturday if it means David O'Leary gets the sack.

The season is over if we keep him so it doesn't matter if we string a good result or two or three together - we have seen too many times that it is just a little run and mostly down to luck and good fortune.

Maybe I'm not a true supporter as David O'Leary told everyone pointed out the other day but if that is the case it's because of him - I've never felt like this before.

I hope if Aston Villa lose David O'Leary does the right thing and resigns. If he doesn't surely Doug Ellis has no alternatives but to get rid of the man?
