I like a good petition and when I looked at this one only a couple of hours ago it had 119 names - it now has over 1,000 and deserves a lot more.
Basically, it's saying don't ruin our game. The important word in that phrase is 'our' because it is ours and while they can get away with most it appears most don't want our teams playing all over the World.
This petition should be signed by everyone and the fat cat suits at the Premier League should come out and make a statement saying they're sorry and that this idea has been scrapped - not shelved or to be looked at again - scrapped.
If you've not clicked on one of the previous two links click this one and sign the petition, if you, like a lot of people I've spoken to today don't agree with moving any of our fixtures overseas.

Done - I'm glad someone's started a petition on this. It's such a crap idea.
I'm number 1809. I have emailed the link to friends with request to sign and pass on. This suggestion is an abomination, these people should be tarred and feathered then run out of town. I'm angry.
This new rule with seven subs being allowed do we even have enough players to put 7 on the bench ?
As for clubs playing ONE game each abroad i think it is a good idea for clubs like ourselfs and for small clubs
What harm is it going to do to the likes of me and you...None

To Villa_Rules; as I understand the proposal the EXTRA game opponents will be decided by chance and the points count in the league. We could draw theArse for example, a money spinner for sure, but losing it could also mean the difference between Europe and not. As fas as being able to get to the match, I don't get to VP much, it would not affect me, but there are fans who religiously follow the team home and away who would not go.
There are times when the money grabbers need to think about preserving what they've inherited. This could be the start of the death throes of the goose which layed the golden egg. Where would football be if we ended up with a franchise system like some USA sports?
Perhaps we need this on a thread in the forum. Damian?
it is already in the forum
Sorry, I promise to more attention in the future, sir.
Only one way to return to the good old days, get rid of your Sky subscription tonight. Cue Cher 'If I could turn back time....'
Woah! Hang on a minute, maybe there's more to the 5 year plan than we know. Average British players, goals from set pieces, dodgy keepers. We'd be ace in the 1980's First Division.
whats going on with football?
business, thats what. footy has got too much into the business world, and now theres no going back.
The community spirt, the fact that a football team brings a community together, should be preserved. but instead, the business men have come in and changed the game, our game.
where do i find the petition?
Bad idea for a league format but I wouldn't be opposed to an off season Premier League Tournament to be played abroad.
Signed, I hate these corporate fatcats, I just imagine how unhealthy they are and make money off of sports people. bleurghh
scudamore reckons its to put the epl at the forefront an to be at the edge of new ideas an expose the league all over the world. he's just after more money the philistine.
im 3425,
why don't they put the same effort into a winter brake, if we ever want to win anything ( world cup ) we need to rest our players
The hole idea is stupid, full stop!
English Premier League games should be played in ENGLAND and only ENGLAND!!!
