Punters predict a bad season for Villa as saga continues

Wednesday, 19 July 06, 12:28 AM · Comments (0)

bet365 have cut the price on Villa to get relegated from 9/2 into 7/2 and shortened their 25/1 to 20/1 on the Midlands side finishing bottom of the Premiership pile.

Spokesman Steve Freeth ?Punters were quick to back managerless Wolves for the drop last week because of what?s going on behind the scenes; but that?s nothing compared to the farce that?s going on down the road at Villa Park ? it?s still pantomime season in the Midlands!

?The chairman is unpopular, the manager is unpopular, but the price of 9/2 on them getting relegated is far from unpopular and we?ve gone 7/2 from 9/2 after sustained support on Tuesday morning.?

The firm have also seen interest in Alan Curbishley to be in charge for Villa?s first game away at Arsenal on August 19th and they have trimmed the former Lions man from 7/2 into 11/4.

?If money talks Curbs is the man that Villa fans want in charge of their club for the start of the season? added Freeth.
