Roeder: Milner not going to Villa

Glenn Roeder has been quoted as saying that "James Milner will not be going to Aston Villa".

This has just made things bad for worse for Aston Villa. The quote, on Fans FC makes a mockery of David O'Leary, who has decided to build his team around the youngster.

Why we've let it get this far and not just bought the player I don't know. Or maybe I do.

Doug Ellis is adament we need to sell before we buy, but why let a quality player go like Milner? Surely a small ?3.5m investment like that would reap notable benefits over the next few years of the club?

It's another let down for the fans of Aston Villa.
