According to the Sunday papers both players are leaving in the summer. None of this is news to us as we've written about both rumours on a few occasions but it is a little worrying.
Apparently O'Leary has told Delaney he can leave and Samuel is clearly not in O'Leary's long term plans after he purchased Wilfred Bouma - despite playing more than the Dutch player this season.
The concern for me is what happens if both are allowed leave? David O'Leary has also implied that we don't have the funds for James Milner so he looks likely to be off in the summer - three players down and that's not counting Djemba Djemba, Berson and probably Laursen and Hendrie.
Looking for a positive spin and O'Leary's inability to tell the truth does he know something that we don't? Well, he shouldn't because if there was anything to know the stock market should also know it but it makes you think.
The business is for sale and the business has huge potential - maybe new owners for next season?
