I hadn't read everything from the weekend until this morning and a couple of things really stand out, but before I get to that, did you see Arsenal play United yesterday?
I mention it because I was wondering if you saw a happy Manchester United player after the game. Did you see any of the Manchester United players laughing and joking with the opposition players?
I didn't and I looked out for it which is why I wasn't exactly saddened to read that Mark Delaney thinks he might have played his last game for Aston Villa.
I'm going to leave this whole Delaney thing now as he probably won't play for Aston Villa again but I don't think he was ever committed to Aston Villa or really understood what was needed from him as an Aston Villa player. I'm of course referring to the West Brom incident.
I'm sure it is different under the new manager and maybe it's a pity that we'll never see what he has to offer but it also goes to show the club were right not to offer him anything further to his contract. Remember how he moaned and moaned when he wouldn't get what he wanted.
Nice bloke and well liked. I'd even go so far to say decent player but I'm glad he won't be playing for the club again.
the other sort of news I read about was JLloyd Samuel saying something along the lines of him wanting to leave unless he's played. I'm not sure how true this is so we leave it for now but why is it every January we hear from the likes of Samuel and Delaney about wanting away from Villa Park? Here is something from last year.
Samuel is a decent player but under O'Leary he lost the plot or allowed something to go to his head. He needs to get that right but if he is talking about wanting to leave then surely his head isn't in the right place and he should be allowed to go.
If he wants to leave let him go and good riddance but if he didn't say these things he best prove himself soon as it's a little coincidental that whenever there is a chance to leave it's just different rumours about the same players.

Regarding the Delaney incident. I you sure Robinson wasn't saying to him that Albion & Blues are a bigger club than Villa?? That would make most people laugh!
Also nice one for the Petrov book, it arrived Thursday!
