Super Kev to play part-time role

Friday, 13 January 06, 08:36 AM · Comments (0)

I'm not referring to Phillips this time but MacDonald. The official web site has confirmed that reserve team supremo Kevin MacDonald will be having talks with the Football Association of Ireland about taking on a part time role alongside former Villa player and new Ireland manager Steve Staunton.

Steve Stride commented "We've given the Irish FA the go ahead to speak to Kevin. They want him to work for them on a part-time basis and that means he can continue his excellent work here at Villa."

This is great news for Villa as MacDonald can further develop himself and he is still at Villa - it's a win win win situation - always a good one to have.

Maybe the powers that be also see that MacDonald has long term potential and are willing to do what is necessary to keep the man?
