Sven leaves England job after World Cup

England manager Sven Goran Eriksson will leave his job as England manager after the World Cup finals in Germany this year after thrashing out a deal with Football Association.

A compensation package is thought to have been thrashed out where the Swede will pick up a hefty pay-off regardless of the outcome of the World Cup.

The only comments about this have been the ones at the announcement - not worth confirming as we all know what they would have said but it will be very interesting to hear some original thought from any of the players - that is if they are allowed an original thought.

Expect a typical Beckham and Owen quote and not much else.
