SWP in 48 hours and Doyle bid rejected?

Wednesday, 10 January 07, 03:39 AM · Comments (7)

The word on the tabloid street is that we'll know if we've clinched the signing of SWP in 48 hours. I hope so as all this bloody speculation and no action is killing me! I just wish we'd sign some players and be done with it all.

It's also alleged today that we've had a bid for Kevin Doyle rejected, though to be £5m, so will now go for Bellamy. The Bellamy rumour's been around for a few days so maybe they've missed it.

It's all speculation so let's wait and something concrete is bound to happen eventually. We hope!

I,m glad. He's a one trick pony with no confidence. He'll fizzle out in a couple of seasons, a bit like Tony Daley. Young is a more promising talent, and will add to forward creativity, which in turn should allow Baros and co. to threaten the oppositions goal. We've had to play defensively nearly all season, so no wonder we're not seeing the best of thr forward line. I'll be gutted if Baros leaves, as he's just come through a difficult time and believe he is real quality.

Offers have gone in for Aliadiere. Hes technically quality, pacy and has that bit of guile Villa desperately need up front. Could gel well as part of the new crop, but Wenger will only let him go if he wants to, as he rates the youngster highly. Lets get bidding!
