I much preferred the slim fit shirt! This just looks plain and boring.
Very disappointed, as i was looking forward to buying the new shirt without a gambling sponsor on it. I think i'll save my money and buy a retro one!

I like it. Well, so long as it's notLycra I was always going to like it, and I'll still sport it with pride knowing a charity is on it as well as that all important Villa badge:)

Plus, I'm still loving the fact there's a big Nike tick there and not 'Hummel' :(

i think it looks boring aswel, i dont think it took them long to think this one up. last years was loads better.

I support Villa's deal with acorns but I think it looks a bit naff on the shirt maybe if they'd put acorns hospice it would have looked better. Like it how nike have stuck to making simple but classy shirts.

Its got Thailand dodgyness written all over it. Thats not our new shirt, if it is its awful.

dont think they would go to the hastle of having a childrens charity on there shirt and not actually saying its a childrens charity on it, not everyone knows what acorns is, specially if we are in europe. plus that nike tag attached isnt of the same design as the usual nike tag, and why is it on some crappy flowery background? and the lion is too big on the badge.

I don't care much for this shirt. I especially don't like the v-neck.

thats the font that avfc.co.uk is using for acorns so i'm guessing that this is the shirt. its a bit plain and not much different from last years shirts. all nike shirts have been boring this year.

I think that picture has been faked.

The Villa crest is PERFECTLY squared up - on both shots out there.

Also the Acorns logo doesn't flow with the contours of the shirt underneath.

There's also a strange 'rim' around the new collar. As though there are two edges to the new blue collar!?

There are also some strange area's around the collar and Acorns logo where the grain (compression) of the image doesn't match that of the rest of the shirt. A sign of tampering.

There's also some drop shadow on the 'Acorns' logo on the shirt that is been worn that has not been affected by the compression for the rest of the shot.

Now this may all be down to the way the photography lined up the shots and shirt and camera doing weird things - sometimes image are real that 'look' fake - but my hunch is it IS a fake.

Preferred the sponsors name with the acorn in it and I agree it should say that it is a children's charity. It is a bit dull.

Rubbish. A two year old in a pram, with two wooden eyes and a limp could design better. Looks like they didn't even bother making an effort to replicate the Acorns logo.

I really hate it and im hoping its FAKE, if u see the shirt when its on that dude? There seems to be a very big gap at the bottom who actually buys V-NECK shirts these days.

It looks and i hope its a fake. I've spent 90 quid on 2 new tops already and the lack of imagination in the design is disapointing. but it could be pink with green spots for all i care as long as there's some quality new players wearing it this season!

personally i think we have been waiting for a nice kit for long enough, simplicity but a nice placing of the colours.

A few people seem to be saying it's not real as its no the acorns logo. Go to the acorns homepage and look at the banner relating to partnership with villa - it's the same font. Seems to be some sort of variation of their logo.

Im not really fond of it. It looks a bit lazy. I thought they were going to put a lot of effort towards it but it looks like a 5 minute job to be honest.

Im with madladdy on this, i work with photoshop two and this has fake written all over it. This won't be the offical jersey. If it is, then oh my god!

I wanted a tight fit one because I'm a skinny bastard, so prejudiced you fatties...

very disapointed, i think it would be better with some blue on the sides or yellow stripes something to make it look a bit more than the 5 mins it must have took to design it, nethertheless its a new villa shirt and i for one will be pre ordering it and wearing it with pride!!!!!!!!!!

At the end of the day its the badge we all support not the sponsor or style of shirt!! I still must give a massive hand to Lerner for such an amazing gesture with Acorns! Hopefully this will give an example to other clubs who in fairness do not even need a sponsor. Thanks Lerner!

If your over 35 and you buy a shirt you are a reeeet muppet. who the hell want to be seen in a football shirt at that age. get a f*ckin life. how abou wearing a little subtle pin badgeor a tie to show you support the villa. I'll buy my lad a shirt and thats it. anyway, what's it matter as long as we are in the CL next season. if ya dunt like it buy a retro shirt. they never go out of fashion and they don't have a sponsor on.

The O should be the acorn symbol, even a simple change like that will make a difference because right now, it is just boring. I do not like the V-neck either. I would give it a 2/10 on satisfaction level.. a 2 year old could have come up with something better.

I'd really prefer something to barcelonas where they have the vertical stripes, instead we have claret and blue stripes.

I can't say I'm too impressed. I was really looking forward to seeing a new, classy shirt (because there's f*ck all else to look forward to at Villa Park at the moment!) but I'm bit disappointed. Looks like someone at Nike designed it on his fag break!

Sorry to dissapoint you guys but I really do believe this is the new shirt. I'm experianced on photoshop and can assure you that is no digital manipulation. I don't care how good someone is at Photoshop, an equally adept person can notice fake touch ups, and there are none here.

Also, those who say the "O" in ACORN is wrong, it is the new logo AVFC adopted on their own website.

although im dissapointed that it didnt end up like one of those cool mockups, it does look far better on an actual person than when flat out scruffy.

I agree with the later comments - glad I looked down to the bottom of the page - it definitely looks LOADS better when worn... Nike make smart looking shirts, and I'm very pleased we have Acorns on it and not some betting website! Plus it's Villa...so all good.

I'm hoping the away shirt is as good/better than last years, cause that was by far the best away shirt we've had in years.

this is disgusting, collar is horrible and why cant people understand that the blue sleeves should end at the top of the shoulder !! not carry on into the neck. wont be buying this!!

iv just seen the new top on the web site, a thought the home kit lacked imagination but the away kit is minging,last years away kit was smart, but this one crap.lets hope players sign for use based on MON and not on our kit.

what a bitter let down , best to by 1981-92 retro shirt with mortimor on the back. appears to lack any style just like villa, i love o,neil but like the song- you dont know what your doing. i will be at church this sunday and i think i need to have a word with the great man upstaires

What a let down, its very dull and unexiting. I think nike took 2 minutes designing this pile of crap and shirt sales will be definatley down this coming season. I expected much more and will not be buying one and i doubt many of the "traditionalists" wont waste their money on this either because it looks too similar to last years! Wake me up when villa bring out a better one!
