There is no money to keep de la Cruz despite O'Leary wanting him

Ulises de la Cruz: International

De la Cruz no longer has a contract at Aston Villa and according to David O there is no money available to keep him.

De la Cruz, in my humble opinion is a decent player. He plays well down the right and can cross over well. O'Leary said last week "De la Cruz?s contract is up. I?d like him to stay but I haven?t got the money for him to stay."

De la Cruz has just has his name called out for the provisional World Cup squad for his country so he's got a great opportunity to put himself in the shop window if he's given a chance to show others what he can do. Getting a player like this on a free can only be good business for whoever gets him.

I've got a feeling that if O'Leary is still the manager next season letting someone like this go will come back and haunt him as he is quite versatile and I don't believe what O'Leary is saying about not having any money to keep him, do you?

I hope de la Cruz has a great World Cup and finds a team that he gets regular football with.
