Thursday morning, OleOle, Cambridge, Aston Villa, Sidwell and that Spanish central defender

First, apologies to Carlos, but this is coming from my phone and it's too much hassle to look up the actual spelling of his surname, but he's mentioned becasue he played, along with Steve Sidwell for ninety minutes last night.

Now, if my reckoning is correct, I can see Sidwell and Carlos playing a lot of games for us this season and as Andy suggested yesterday, I could see Martin O'Neill playing five in the middle to accomodate Barry and Sidwell. It's all good.

It's also good for Isiah Osbourne and Nathan Delfouneso (again apologies for any spelling mistakes) as they were both on the scoresheet last night as the reserves beat Stoke 2-1. How long before one of those two get a proper run?

Anyway, it's Thursday and there really isn't that much else Villa to talk about so I thought I'd talk about OleOle and our move. Basically there are features galore, some I'm still getting to play with but the bottom line is you have to register. Once you've registered you get access to some extra forums on the blog, your own page and then the ability to socially network. It's Facebook for football fans.

Once you've registered, send me a friend request so I can add you to my list of people that will be getting some emails and access to a few things we're going to be doing over the season.

Right, that's it from me, I'm off for an hour or two but if anyone knows of any decent pubs in Cambridge, please let me know below, the plan is to get very drunk tonight in a place where I'm possibly never going to go again!

The Eagle, just off kings parade opposite kings college, down St Edwards Passage! they serve a lovely pint of the warm stuff!
Either there or the Anchor, down silver street by the river.

There are some great pubs in the north of the centre, walk past the college on your left and carry on and you'll get to street heading left - they're just there. And they've got Sky Sports!

Damain..'The Bath House'. Right in the centre of Cambridge mate. Great food, beer (I know you like) and they have a great evening comedy club if your there overnight! Not sure which nights they do it now though? Some top circuit comedy acts they get on the bill. =D

Damo, if you're in Cambridge you should look up a restaurant called Chillis. The wife (who is american) used to drive over from kettering when visiting her folks just to go to this place as it's a big chain over in the states. If you like your steak/burger chains (and a beer with it) then you'll like it.

John, they are down the list but they're both very very good. Given a run we may also see something . . Actually, Nathan isn't as far down the list as Osbourne

Delfouneso I'm more than happy to see have a run in the first team.

Osbourne, I'm not sure about. He seems pretty average to me, has a limited skillset and I'm really not sure what he can offer us.

I'd give Delfouneso a run out at Spurs - if Carew or Gaby are not scoring then take one of them off and give our Number 14 a chance on the big stage :P

I went to Cambridge a couple years ago for a county bowls match (we won). I thought that Cambridge, being a Uni town, very old place, and all that, would be pub heaven. How wrong was I? Considering the size and impoortance of the place there's sod all pubs there. St. Albans (pop. 50,000) has twice as many (most near my house). Now that's pub heaven. I think Damian knows the St Albans pubs - they're famous.

What a problem MON's got, he's said that Delfouneso will get chances this year. Osbourn should get opportunities too. Just who to leave out, and when to do it. I'm sure MON will get it right(ish).

simply put, at the moment osbourne, delfouneso and probably gardener 2, arent good enough to get a solid run
