Villa to go for Mackem free agent Leadbitter?

I'm surprised much is happening on the domestic news front with the imminent kick off this year's World Cup but Fans FC have 'revealed' that we, along with Blackburn and Manchester City, are to go in for 19-year-old Sunderland midfielder Grant Leadbitter.
Leadbitter has turned down two contract's form the Mackem's and looks like he might move to Premiership pastures following their unfortunate relegation.
