Want something to do when the football isn't on this weekend? In the Hands of the Gods

We were very lucky to get invited to a private screening of this most excellent film in July and as a favour to the crew that put it together we're giving it a mention as it's released at cinemas today.

The film follows five lads who save up all their hard earned cash to travel to Argentina to meet Diego Maradona and along the way they're filmed. It's a true story and well worth the viewing, especially as we all love football.

While it's a documentary, which is normally something that puts me to sleep, this film is fast and doesn't stop for a moment. Some of the street football skills you'll see are also awesome.

I'm not going to give to much away about it but just recommend it as something to do after the football on Saturday afternoon and before the main event on Sunday.

You can visit the film website here and check out the guys below.

They seem to have ended up in Times Square, New York... Did they make it to Argentina?

I've heard that they use their football skills to busk the money to get from place to place, in their quest to see Diego. Seems like a decent film from the clips i've seen.

I've heard a lot about this film and seen a few trailers for it! Some of the cast were on soccer a.m. the other week and they are all very skillful guys and I will certainly look out for the movie if its released on DVD but cant see myself going to the cinema for it. Its a shame that none of these guys tend to make it in pro-football although i've heard that Rio Ferdinand can do all that type of stuff!
