The next supporter consultation group meeting will take place before the Chelsea match on Sunday, 2nd September and if you want to, you can attend, as a sort of representative for us.
Basically we'll be sending one person along but want to echo the sentiments made by non-executive director Charles Krulak and give it to just one fairly random supporter, who can say exactly what they'd like to say.
"It's important to us that people's voices can be heard, and that every Villa supporter should have the opportunity to raise issues which affect the club. Logistically, of course, it is impossible to offer every single supporter the opportunity to pose questions directly to the club - not when we have a data base of 265,000!" commented Krulak when the supporter consultation process began.
You'll be going along as our representative so we fully expect you to take full advantage of any free bar facility and eat as much as you can, in fact don't eat for the entire day before hand and basically, if you've got a view or opinion on anything, make your voice heard.
We are doing this because we don't think it's about what 'we all vote on' as the most important issues. It's what is important to the person picked to attend. Instead of starting a thread about what are the most important issues and what needs to be asked, we'll let whoever we pick, ask whatever they want.
You don't have to have posted loads of comments and it's not going down to a vote. It's basically my decision and whoever I pick will attend. We would like an email after the event telling us how it went but it's not obligatory.
So, how do you get to go? If you want a chance to ask your questions, then all you've got to do is post a comment below telling me and everyone else that reads this page, the reason why you support Aston Villa and why you should attend the meeting.
The best answer will get picked out sometime before Tuesday, when I've got to get the name in, at which time I'll then forward you details on when and where.

Well i was lucky to start supporting villa in the late 70s, when we had a lot of silverwear. The reason i support villa is because my dad took me and his dad took him, etc etc. For a seven year old going to villa park its life changing, christmas and birthday rolled into one. I still have the same feeling now watching the villa, that wlll never leave. As for going to the meeting, i would relish the chance to have my opinion heard and for once someone in authority to listen..!
I have been a Villa support since I was a nipper. Standing (yes standing) in the Holte was one of the first memories I have of football in general.
Ive never been forced to support the club, like some dads do, but ive been a proud follower of this great club for nearly 28 years and will continue to until the day I pop me clogs.
I would love the opportunity to air my views to the people, that at the end of the day, make the decisions on the future of our great club.
I for one am over the moon we have Martin and Randy in charge, however I feel that they will sometimes lose touch with the people that matter the most, the supporters!!
If we are all honest, the club will never be fully transparent, nor will they tell us of potential transfers and the ones we have missed out on. It juast isn't the way a club should be.
We just need to let them know, that we are here, our support will never die, but we need to be respected. As we play an extremely important role for the club, even if we aren't on the pay role.

Can i go please? I like free food and beer and meeting new people!
I've been thinking about questions i'd like to ask and have come up with the following so far:
1. If Fitzgerald and the General are the link to the supporters, how come i wouldn't recognize either of 'em in the street?
2. Why doesn't Ashley Young wear less obvious boots in an effort to disguise his unfeasibly massive feet?
3. Why did we have to wait so long for our new home shirt design and sponsorship deal etc. when Finnish minnows who played Blackburn last week had exactly the same design kit but in different colours?
Oh..and finally, why have things taken so long regarding transfers?
Do i win a t-shirt? Can i go to the do...get wrecked on free booze and scream like a bitch?...please? :D
WOW not so many ppl willing to offer their views when it actually counts.I dont want to critise team selections or the lack of trandsfer activity but id like to question the advantages of being a season ticket holder.
1)As a seasin ticket holder why do I have to pay to gain access to the holt siute ,surely non season ticket holders should have to pay
2)Why before the game can i buy a pint for £2.50 but @ half time i have to pay £2.80 for a bottlle
3)If Vila park is a non smoking environment why are ppl smoking in the toilets throughout the game.
4)Why cant I enjoy a beer in the stand yet others can drink boiling hot tea, coffee or Bovril right next to me (what would you rather have spilled on you ,a cold beer or a boiling hot cup of the mentioned bevrages ?)
I feel as a season ticket holder i have no advantages over some-one who picks and chooses thier games .
pLZ forgive the spelling , ive just returned from the game and as you can imagine ive had a few beers, so rest assured i will take full advantage of any freebies and will ask the questions that really count
I would love to go and represent the supporters. I think that there are great things going on at Villa Park the commercial changes that have taken place over the last twelve months are there for all to see. I love the better use of the video screens, the Aston Filla vans, the season cards, the AV messaging screens in the carpark, the smoke free environment, the brilliant marketing -Seatexchange is great idea - watch every other club pinch that one. All we need now is a consistently winning team. We are on the way. We need to bite the bullet on the inflated fees and go get some talent. Villa Park was rocking towards the end of the second half against Fulham. They bought a couple on minibuses of supporters and there were still 36,000 there. The place is as good as anywhere when its rocking and it makes all those years of tedium worthwhile when you see the club getting it together off the pitch and on it. I have been a season ticket holder for twenty years. There are still things to do regarding parking and access and lots to talk about on the playing side. I would love to represent supporters.
i think you should take I HATE BLUES
he has some very interesting questions and are more concerned with safety!
(i said to my dad many moons ago about the hot drinks and the spilling etc...)
plus id happily make him a t-shirt with I HATE BLUES on so he could wear it at the meeting. lol ;D
okay. i'v epicked the name. they've been sent an email
