We were so rubbish the Man Utd fans didn't even bother ribbing me

Monday, 19 December 05, 02:02 PM · Comments (0)

Usually my Manchester United supporting friends would give me a bit of a ribbing.

But not today. We were so awful that was enough for them- there was no need to compound my misery any further than David O'Leary's team had done.

It didn't take a fan of a great team to recognise we were rubbish.

Man Utd hardly set the game on fire, but they didn't need too.

It was apparant quite early in the game that we weren't up for it, weren't going to try and weren't really bothered.

We'd admitted defeat before we'd started.

A couple of players were trying, but only because they could potentially be in their country's World Cup squad.

It was a testament to a club returning to the way it was before the current manager took over.

If we aren't relegated this season, we will be next season.
