What is going on between O'Leary and Hendrie?

Wednesday, 21 December 05, 10:34 AM · Comments (0)

With the club having had its worst ever start to a Premiership season why does O'Leary still ignore Lee Hendrie?

Hendrie is Villa to his boots and what we need now is commitment and passion from the players, both of which have been sadly lacking this season.

Hendrie will give us both in spades, we may all have our criticisms of Lee, his petulance and talent for getting himself silly bookings/sendings off at times, but none of us can fault him for his aggression and commitment to the cause.

Week after week we watch McCann pass to the opposition more than he does to his team-mates, yet still there is no place for Hendrie in the side.

Hendrie should be the first name (well, maybe second after Davis) on the team sheet every week at the moment, his inclusion would inspire the rest of the team and we all know he will run until he drops for the club.

His continual absence in the side is, in my opinion, just one more sign that O'Leary has completely and utterly lost the plot and he should go and go now.
