Who do you believe, Bill Howell or Roy Aitken?

Well, it's come as a little surprise that the official Aston Villa website are dismissing claims that Aaron Hughes is out for the season after Bill Howell reported earlier that he was.

Talking about the injury to Hughes Roy Aitken told the official site this evening "Yes he did go for a scan, but the scan revealed nothing more than bruising. There's certainly no ligament damage.

"He'll need to rest for a few days and won't train again this week, but we've not ruled him out of the Manchester City game on Tuesday."

Bill Howell says the rest of the season and Roy Aitken says he might be back for Manchester City next week. It looks to me that somebody has given Bill Howell a bum steer but on the other hand it could be that Aitken doesn't know what he's talking about. I wouldn't want to put money on who is right but it's going to be quite embarrassing for whichever one isn't.
