You heard it here first

On July 20th we broke the news that Aston Villa had allowed Vassell to talk to Manchester City and on July 22nd we informed you that an initial offer was made.

We ran a poll last week titled 'If an approach for Vassell was made, should Villa consider it?'. 70.1% of you said yes and this week they have.

Maybe it's not as much as most would have expected but for what it's worth, I think David O'Leary has done the right thing in offloading Vassell.

We're not big fans of posting 'we told you so' messages but Kevin has been spot on with this and it's nice to be able to say well done.

Speculation of Baros signing is still rife and even though we'd love to be able to say more that's all it is at the moment, specualtion. As soon as we find out anything else on the Baros situation we'll let you know.
