Benfica 1 - 0 Feyernoord
(Cardozo 69')
Benfica today ran away with a 1-0 victory of dutch side, Feyernoord. After starting pre-season with shaky results Benfica now looked like the near finished product Quique has been talking
about. The first half was mainly all Benfica but at times they lacked that socring edge and clinical finishing in front of goal. Some very good performances in teh first half came from the
likes of Amorim, Aimar, Luisao, Léo, Yebda and Martins.
Second half was a little calmer and both teams looked like they were looking for more possesion thatn goals, but when it mattered most Benfica went on the attack with Léo beating his man and
sliding the ball to Aimar who instinctively played a first time ball ahead of Cardozo who smashed the ball into the back of the net to give Benfica the lead and the eventual win.
