Morning Peeps and Boro fans,
Hope everyone is ok on this fine, wet, cold and windy Monday morning!
Waking up to the awful weather makes Saturdays result against Bolton even harder to take. I think this week is going to be slow-moving for all Boro fans.
I expected Middlesbrough to get all three points on Saturday so that's probably why I'm feeling the pain of the Bolton loss.
Results like this are a regular occurrence for any Boro fan to witness. It happens all the time, we expect it. I honestly thought we had turned a corner this season and were capable of dispatching teams like Bolton, especially in front of our own fans.
Wrong Turn
Never mind 'turning a corner', we made a wrong turn on Saturday. That wasn't meant to happen to Boro on Saturday. We were meant to get three points and close the gap on the top four. A weekend which saw the four top teams lose points as well was hard to take.
I won't go into detail too much about the Bolton game because it's depressing reading. Let's just say we shot ourselves in the foot at the beginning of the game. Two goals down after ten minutes of play is unforgivable in this league.
Chances were not taken at the other end - no surprise there then! Our defence lacked shape and promise, something of a strength in recent weeks, but completely missing on Saturday. What is it about playing 'lesser teams' in the league?!
Derby Day LoomsNewcastle produced an honourable display against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and will be looking to do one better at the Riverside this Saturday and win.
Southgate has got a big week this week. The Bolton game has to be forgotten and the players need to pick themselves up for the big derby day.
Fingers crossed that the team forgets about the last game and they look forward to the Newcastle game. All three points will be nice.
More tomorrow.
Follow the Boro Brick Road...
Play aliadiere and tuncay infront.Johnson and Digard in centre.Downing and Oneil on wide.im sure we can get more attacking game with this player on field.push Alves in reserved for the moment to get his touch.i know Alves is good player only currently his morale is down and get boo from fans.so i dont think he can focus in next match.
We have to play AJ because he has that ability to beat players. I hope Alves comes good soon. Where was Mido on Saturday? Not even on the bench?!
Mido not on bench that make rumous he going to wigan getting stronger.
Yeah because I thought he was fit to face Bolton. Might be the end of Mido in a Boro shirt. Or he'll play against Newcastle on Saturday and score! Who knows with him.
Not heard much news on Mido yet. I'm sure he'll want to play against Newcastle on Saturday. If he gets his chance, which I think he will because Alves will probably get dropped. Adam Johnson needs to be played as well.
Well, we sucks absolutely in that match. tbh we deserved shit there. And that was a retarded way to surrender our unbeaten form. :( As for Mido, I thought GS said it was a touch and go? tbh, this sux for everyone of us. If there's any consolation, it will be that we still got the best run of form atm this season since Everton screwed up vs Wigan as well. :S
I've heard Mido will be fit to face Newcastle. Should be interesting if he is selected. I would put Alves on the bench for this one. We'll just have to start another unbeaten run this Saturday!

Forgot to say.. Pogatetz is today giving Alves advice on finishing. Mad Dog's goal on Saturday was class. Alves will come good soon. Everyone at the club is behind the Brazilian including some of the fans (that includes me).
Have to say that was a dreadful performance. I was gutted for the rest of the evening. The Newcastle game is going to be super tough now, but I think we can beat them!
