José Mourinho met the press on the eve of Inter's opening match of the 2009/10 Tim Cup against Livorno. Inevitably, the first few questions were about what happened between Mourinho and Corriere dello Sport journalist Andrea Ramazzotti after Atalanta-Inter. "I thank you for giving me the opportunity to say something because from Sunday until today I have heard and read many things from many people and it seemed to me that there was only one truth and that it belonged to someone," said Mourinho. "I want to be honest as always and say that it's true that I insulted one of your colleagues, it's true that I used an offensive word I can't repeat here, but it's not true that I attacked the journalist.
"Three...

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has denied Jose Mourinho is under pressure following the defeat at Barcelona.
The Nerazzurri slumped to their first defeat in this season's Champions League, falling 2-0 at the Nou Camp to put their hopes of progressing in Europe in jeopardy.
Reports in the Italian press today claimed coach Mourinho's job is on the line.
But when asked if the Portuguese coach was in danger of losing his job, Moratti said on the club4s official website, www.inter.it: "Absolutely not. I spoke to him yesterday and there is no problem whatsoever.
"The same trust continues.
"He will...

"If Inter are crazy, so is the Interista. I, for example, have a crazy passion for what I do, and maybe Inter has a coach that is suited to the characteristics of the team and the Interista." With this certainty and with a smile on his face, José Mourinho concluded his second question and answer session with subscribers to Inter Channel.
Roberto Scarpini sat down in the studio with Mourinho a month after their first chat with the fans, and football was obviously the main subject. "You need luck to win the championship, Champions League and Coppa Italia, but you also need to be an absolutely fantastic team and have an absolutely fantastic season," said the Inter coach. "The Champions League is such a difficult...

Douglas Maicon’s contract renewal with Inter is “a done deal,” according to his agent, ending talk of a Real Madrid or
Manchester United move.
The Brazilian right-back had been irritable about his situation at San Siro in recent months, fuelling speculation of a
possible switch to Spain or England.
“It is practically a done deal,” declared agent Antonio Caliendo on Calcionews24.net.
“It is basically what we exp...

With regard to an article in The Times, José Mourinho issued the following statement through inter.it, pointing out that he did not give a direct interview to the British daily.
"I met the journalist Patrick Barclay a while ago for a book dedicated to Sir Alex Ferguson," explained the Portuguese coach. "With this journalist I did not discuss current matters. I only talked about the role of coaches in the different countries that have shaped my professional career. I underlined the historical-cultural differences and not my personal preferences, with the sole intention of showing that an experience like Sir Alex Ferguson's at Manchester United is, objectively, an rarity in our field. As you can read from a correct translation of some of the quotes, I explained...

Jose Mourinho admits Kiev represented a huge turnaround in Inter's ambitions. “We stepped into this stadium last and left at
the top.”
The Nerazzurri were 1-0 down up until the 86th minute and propping up their group, but two last-gasp goals from Diego Milito and Wesley Sneijder beat Dynamo 2-1 to lead the way.
“It was a fantastic performance full of heart, desire, emotion and unity. However, we need more. I think nine points are enough to go through, so we need three from the next two matches against
Barcelona and Rubin.
“Tonight with a draw or a defeat it still would've been possible, but very complicated. We stepped into this stadium last and left at the top.”
They w...

Defender Lucio spoke proudly of the spirit in the FC Internazionale Milano camp after they scored two late goals against FC Dynamo Kyiv to record their first UEFA Champions
League win in over a year and go top of Group F.
'Difficult'
Inter, whose last victory in the competition was against Anorthosis Famagusta FC on 22 October last year, had drawn their first three games in the section and the experienced Brazilian stopper
had to be on his game, making a series of timely interceptions as Inter endured a first-half onslaught from a spritely Dynamo side. "It was difficult," he told uefa.com. "We didn't play well in
the first half. We knew it was going to be a hard match but thankfully we managed to come through it." After going a goal down ...
