Oriali: Chelsea talks 'at stand-still'

Lele Oriali reveals talks for Deco and Ricardo Carvalho “are at a stand-still,” but Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Douglas Maicon “happily” remain at Inter. “Inter do not need emissaries, the President has sent nobody to London and neither have I,” assured the transfer guru. Carvalho and Deco have both publicly stated their desire to leave Chelsea in order to reunite with Jose Mourinho, but negotiations have ground to a half. “I had the good fortune to speak with Chelsea and know they are ready to talk about these two players, but their request is too high. “With these conditions, the move is impossible for us. At the moment the talks are at a stand-still and we don’t know if they will start up again later on.” Oriali was also asked by Sky Italia television whether there were developments on want-away stars Ibrahimovic and Maicon. “Things got sorted out over time. Both Ibra and Maicon are happy to stay with Inter. Ibra will be with us for pre-season training, while Maicon and Julio Cesar will join us in the States, as they have extra time off due to the Confederations Cup.” Inter have picked up Diego Milito and Thiago Motta from Genoa, while today they completed the signing of Brazilian Foquinha on a free transfer from Chievo. Real Madrid have dominated the market with buys like Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, but Oriali is not impressed. “It’s not easy to put so many champions on the field together. I maintain Barcelona are still superior to Real.”
