In a penalty kick this Sunday evening, Romario scored 1000 goals. He is 41 years old and turns to be the second brazilian player ever to reach 1000 goals in his career. Pele was the first, in 1969, also scoring in a penalty kick.
If Pele scored against Vasco in that day, Romario was playing for Vasco when he did it.
Romario is a genius. One of the best strikers of all times, won the 1994 World Cup for Brazil and is part of the history of clubs like Vasco, Flamengo, PSV, Barcelona, just to mention some of them.
Here is a clip with eleven unforgetable of his one thousand gols.
and i'm sure he will party, and edmundo will be partying with him right? ;)

He's probably counted the goals he scored at school as well !
NeverOutGunned. He has 70 to 90 polemic goals. The ones when he was 14 playing under 15 tournaments for Olaria and Vasco and some friendlies like the farewell game of Jorge Campos in Mexico. No Beach Soccer games nor even school games like some people are joking about it. But a player with more than 900 official goals is not every day. Put your hands together and let him do the party.
