Welcome back to Copa Libertadores, Riquelme!

This is good for the football in Argentina that has just lost players like Gago, Higuain and Gallardo bet even better for the tournament.

Here some of the player to watch during the competition (I swear I will work in better profiles later). I just got the Brazilian and Argentinean’s ones for the moment, although the Mexican are also strong forces this year as usual. Some of them are well known as you can see.

Alexandre Pato (Internacional)
Dinélson (Paraná)
Ernesto Farias (River Plate)
Lucas (Grêmio)
Obina (Flamengo)
Riquelme (Boca Juniors)
Rogério Ceni (São Paulo)
Zarate (Vélez Sarsfield)
Zé Roberto (Santos)

hi mauricio,
do you think Riquelme is just waiting for June as he'll be back to Europe, or Boca is his final destination?

Gabriele, Riquelme is a wierd player. He quit the National Team and I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in Argentina for the rest of his career. So much talent, so difficult. Maybe someone from Argentina could give us a better clue.

I wrote my comment, and then I gave a look to "Gazzetta dello Sport" on line, they say he could come back to Europe next season. But maybe they wrote it because he is on loan at Boca until 30th of June ;)

He looks sad. It´s like he doesn´t enjoy anymore. I really don´t know if he COULD come back to Europe. But if he needs money, he can choose to play in Qatar.
By the way, Macri and Riquelme dont have a good relation.

i'm a big fan of JRR, i don't know why... maybe it's because he's such a wierdo.

he's so brilliant and fragile at the same time, and there's just some old-fashioned and unique about the way he plays the game, just making all the play go through him.

world class player, but also world class choker right?

JRR: less Topo Gigio and more training!
