England? Id take Arsenal any day.

There are those who jump around, moaning about how the England players are over-rated piles of shite that do not deserve to wear the three lions. They argue amongst themselves weather the manager was the right choice. Who should be playing in the first team. Am I the only one who doesn't care?

I watch the games. I see the football. Fall asleep. Wake up. Make a cup of tea (or coffee, depending on the mood). Wonder why I am watching the game. Hear the final whistle. Smile.

You see, the England National team is, well, crap. And considering they have so many World Class players, it is a real surprise. Frank Lampard and John Terry would walk into any team in the World, as would Peter Crouch and Michael Owen. You may sense that I am being sarcastic. If not...

I do not believe that England have any World Class players except possibly Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard.

I have never understood the whole debate regarding Arsenal not having enough English players myself.

We are top of the Premier league in a team that requires a certain level of ability that can only be taught as a young player before you get stuck in your ways a la Lampard and Gerrard.

If there are no English players good enough to get in the team, they will not get into the team.

Is it a surprise that the English players who are in the academy (Lansbury, Gibbs, G Hoyte, Murphy etc) were all put on the books within the first three years of Arsene Wenger's reign? The problems are deeper rooted than the simple "There aren't any English players in your starting 11" explination.

You look at Middlesbrough and they have around 15 English players in the squad. They are all totally crud and nowhere near the required quality that is needed nor the type of player that England need (a creative midfielder)

So why should we buy English players who do not fit into our system?

It has taken him 11 years to breed his own English Arsenal players who are capable of playing "Wenger-Ball".

Leave us alone because we have been spitting out English players left right and centre. At least they are decent playeres getting first team football at other clubs.

Some say "Why did they let Sidewell, Pennant and Bentley go? they would get into the team"

What a load of rubbish. He let Bentley, Sidewell and Pennant go because they are not good enough.

Sidewell... Over Vieira, Petit, Edu or Fabregas? Don't think so!

Pennant... Over Ljungberg, Pires, Hleb or Rosicky? Don't think so!

Bentley... Over Bergkamp, Pires, Ljungberg, Cesc etc...etc...etc...

Its time for the Nation to take into account that the players are not as good as what they would like to think. they are nowhere near World or European champions and why you expect that is beyond me!

English Football needs to wake up for the (r)evolution that happened in the game in the last 20 years. The top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United did understand those changes but the
National Team didn't ... Very good post
