Barcelona beat Recreativo 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to three points.Lionel Messi struck in the 52nd minute after a quick free-kick and Seydou Keita tapped-in from close range with five minutes left, but the scoreline flatted Recre, who were bossed by a sublime visiting performance.
Messi was in majestic form, beating men for fun and at one point hampered by his own selflessness when, after beating three men, he opted to pass to an offside Henry when shooting was the better option.
Henry made his impact soon afterwards though, when his excellent cross was volleyed by Eto’o into the path of Keita who had the easiest finish to double the lead.
