Burnley almost did the impossable! and turned this game right around tonight the game went into extra time thanks to a 88 minute freekick from robbie blake which put burnley 3-0 up!.All burnley needed to do was hold on for 30 mins extra time and spurs defence of the cup was over and but in the second half of extra time spurs hit back with 2 quick goals.Pavlyuchenko and Defoe got the goals,the dream is over for burnley spurs are on there way to wembley.Tottenham’s last-gasp escape saw them win their Carling Cup semi-final tie over Burnley 6-4 on aggregate despite losing the second leg 3-2

Carlos Tevez’s 76th-minute spot-kick proved enough to steer Manchester United into the Carling Cup quarter-finals at Old Trafford.

Although no-one could claim QPR deserved anything from a contest in which they were second-best from start to finish, they almost took the tie into extra-time as United failed to make the most of their dominance.

In the end, Peter Ramage’s rash tackle on substitute Daniel Welbeck was all United needed as Tevez coolly stroked home.
