Liverpool players hit Showtime! In 2005 Will never be forgotten by many Liverpool fans and football fans in general as one of the best games you will ever see to date. Thinking back it can be remembered for many reasons the fans players heros it had it all.

So no wonder Rafael Benitez and legendary l duo Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard joined supporters to celebrate opening night of Nicky Allt’s comedy One Night In Istanbul.

The play, showing now at  Liverpool’s Empire theatre, was almost upstaged before it started by the famous faces in the crowd, with fans desperate to catch a peep at there heros .

For the players it was a different kind of pre season training this one and i wonder if they would even take up when there old we all know gerrard loves his plays J.But the boys did very well on the night even rafa got in on the act showing off the very famous cup and had a boogie!

Great news for liverpool fans Gerrard has put pen to paper on a new four-year contract that will ensure he remains at Liverpool for the rest of his career.
The Liverpool skipper had agreed two years on top of his current deal - which ran for another two seasons - back in April, and has now made it official.

The deal is worth a reported £140,000 a week and will commit Gerrard to his hometown club until he is 33.

Liverpool have said  they had reached a deal in principal back in April gerrard has stayed loyal to the reds and looks as if he really is a one man club!

This will please all liverpool fans im sure?Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Premier League club until at least 2014

“My heart is with Liverpool so I’m delighted to sign this new deal,” said the 48-year-old Spaniard.

“I love the club, the fans and the city and with a club like this and supporters like this, I could never say no to staying. I always made clear I wanted to be here for a long time.”

Liverpool dropped points today as manchester city got a draw at anfield city took the lead but liverpool came back and tried to push for the winner to get the 3 points city held out.Build-up to the fixture had been overshadowed by fresh speculation that Reds boss Rafa Benitez is still refusing to sign a new deal.

Former Liverpool striker Craig Bellmay opened the scoring for City before Dirk Kuyt equalised in the closing stages. Liverpool are now seven points behind United and just three points above third-placed Chelsea. City missed the opportunity to leapfrog West Ham and Fulham into eighth place
