It's a bank holiday Saturday here in Ireland and I have a busy weekend ahead. After a lot of beer tonight I will be off to the supporter's club in Bray tomorrow to watch the West Ham match and then back to my local with some friends for an all nighter. I expect to have a very sore head on bank holiday Monday morning. But it shouldn't be any other way. The blog was very disjointed yesterday as I got so busy in work that lunch hour was cancelled and then it was straight to football and I only got back on at 10 last night. So, if it was a mess, I'm sorry but there was nothing I could do about it.

In team news ahead of tomorrows game we will have Gallas & Toure back and I'm sure the 2 of them will start which will be a relief after Tuesday night. I know we need a new centre back but Song cannot play there but he might still be a possibility as a defensive midfielder when we play 5 in midfield. If he can keep his concentration then he is an option in this position. I can't imagine that Silvestre will keep his place eitherbut you never know. Anyway, speaking of our beloved captain he has been caught smoing and the manager isn't very happy with it. While admitting that he had the odd smoke himself as ayoung coach he still doesn't think it is right for his players to smoke, especially his captain. If memory serves me correctly RVP was caught smoking in the past.

Adebayor has said that in his opinion money is killing the game. That's a little rich coming from him when you consider his behaviour in the summer transfer window. The boss has said he wishes Upson had stayed with us but it wasn't to be. We have 2 players in the final 30 nominations for the Balon d'Or. Obviously Cesc is nominated and so is Adebayor. I would imagine that Ronaldo will win it but personally I have never seen him do it in the big games. I'll preview the West Ham game tomorrow.
