Let's Hear It For The Boys.

The AGM was held yesterday and Stan Kroenke was, as expected voted onto the board. In fact he was applauded when this happened which is a far cry from what we would have expected before Usmanov reared his ugly head. Appearently we have plenty of money available for player expenditure but this can mean wages as well as transfers. The manager hasn't ruled out signings in January and when asked about a central defender in particular and why we didn't sign one, as he said he would in May, his reply was that there is a shortage of 6' 5" players available who can sign for anyone. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head but I'm not paid the money he is to spot talent and possible signings.

The board have also said that there will be no sell out which is good to hear. 3 new busts were unveiled - Arsene Wenger, Herbert Chapman & Denis Hill Wood. The manager has again said that he favours the introduction of video replays during games and who can blame him as we have been on the wrong end of a few dodgy reffereeing decisions already this season. Most importantly of all he wants the Fans to get behind the team. He feels the stadium is too quiet and we need to support this young team. It would help if he picked our best available team for each match but I can understand his point. However Highbury was never the loudest ground in the country either. A lot of fans have said if the stewards allowed them to stand and jump like the away fans it would make for a better atmosphere which is quite understandable.Let's just hope the fans can get behind the team but let's hope the team can play well enough to get the fans going and the manager picks the right team to inspire the fans.

I'm going to have to leave it at that as I was interrupted in work and I was so busy I'm only getting back to it at 10 at night, after football(which we won). Sorry for the disjointed blog but I'll try to make up for it tomorrow.
