The fight for the UEFA Cup spot was played out today over in the Steaua Stadium in Romania.
Both teams wanted to win so badly, because none of them wanted to finish last. The game stated, and both sides were hesitant in the game, turning over the ball, and making mistakes. But Steaua
almost made the beak through in the 15th minuted, when a free kick was kicked into the box, and Fiorentina's goal keeper dropped the ball, the danger was later eluded.
2nd half came and they still where playing for something, and it came in the 66th minute when a beautiful corner by Juan Manuel Vargas found its way to Alberto Gilardino who
headed the ball in the back of the net, and sealing an UEFA CUP spot for Fiorentina
