The BarclayBlog!<![CDATA[And...Chelsea beat the SHIT outta Porty, Man Utd TIE with Newscastle, Arsenal NEARLY escape a tie, and EVERYONE IS HAPPY!!!!]]> Wow, Didja see the Chelsea game? 4-Nil without Drogba!!!! I am lookin at a bright season 4 chelsea!!! On another note, Hull City (another of me favorite teams) also won which i was super excited about!!! What's all this talk bout them comin in last? Gosh, that talk really got me pissed. Man Utd start off with an ok start but i am still remembering last year where they were mid table at the beginning and then jumped back to the top!! I still think with Chelsea's new manager and with tons of new players they will do very well (though i thought all the talk bout Grant being horrible was shit too). Liverpool did pretty well winning 1-Nil. Arsenal beat West Brom...not very exciting :) and a few other teams got in wins... Overall, the first week of Premiership was GREATO!!!!!!!!!! All my teams doing well!!!

Even though it is true that Chelsea has a lot of money, any good team has a lot of money. Take Man United for instance, how could they afford players like Ronaldo and other world class players without a lot of money. Some people say it's all "Team Loyalty" or something, but here's the truth, if Ronaldo was loyal, why is the headlines saying "Ronaldo Takes 100 million contract to Madrid". There are many other players on Man United to that do it because they make a fair amount of money. If Fergie said that they had a debt and they needed to cut down peoples salaries, Rooney might be ok with it, but I bet some other Man United players would be "Off to Madrid!" :p It annoys me that everyone associates "Money" with Chelsea.

]]>2008-06-18 19:19:00<![CDATA[Why? Lampard Don't Leave Us!!]]>    Inter...then name sends shivers down my back! They are trying to get Lampard to move from England and go to Italy. I mean, he is the glue that keeps Chelsea together, without him, Chelsea would be a different team. I officially am getting very mad at Mourhino. He went from Chelsea to Inter, and now is trying to steal all of Chelsea's players. Just because he was booted from the job of Manager doesn't mean you can take all of the players with you. Especially to some crappy team like Inter! I just hate that team! Anyways, they have been doing ok in league play anyways. (just wait...AC will get right back up!) They have been winning the league so everything is fine right!? Nope! Mourhino has to steal a few more of Chelsea's players! Finally, Mourhino has turned from being one of my favorite managers, to being one of my LEAST favorite managers!

]]>2008-06-17 10:00:46<![CDATA[Nicolas Anelka: Should He of Taken the Penaly Kick?]]> In the penalty kick shoot-out of the champions league game, Nicolas Anelka chose not to take one of the penalty kicks, and gave the job for John Terry,a defender. There are many people that say that Anelka should have just taken the penalty kick, but I have mixed about if he should have or should not have. I will interpret my sides by making up to fictional characters, Bob and Joe. Bob is a die hard Chelsea fan that thinks Anelka should have taken the kick, but Joe thinks differently!

Bob: I think Anelka should definatly of taken the kick. I mean, seriously, he is a professionally striker and Chelsea paid millions of euro's for him to come through in these kicks. It isn't a bad striker that misses the penalty, it's a bad striker that doesn't take one because he's to scared. John Terry is a defender, defenders shouldn't take the kicks, and most of the midfielders had already taken a penalty by now!

Joe: Even though Anelka is a striker, I think that it is good that he spoke up and said he though me might miss the kick. If someone is so pressured that they think they will miss, then why not give it to a guy that is better in the clutch. Maybe John shouldn't have taken the kick, but if Anelka doesn't take pressure well, then he shouldn't take the kick either. Anelka is a good player, and I haven't lost much respect for him.

My opinion is in between both Bob and Joe's opinion. I think that it wasn't good that he really didn't want to take the kick, but I also think that if he really thought he'd miss it, it might be better if he didn't take it. Thanks for reading!

]]>2008-06-17 08:53:06<![CDATA[Drogba, What I Dislike About Him!]]> I have always liked Didear Drogba and always thought he was a great striker, but recently I have started to consider a few things. Even though I think he is one of my favorite strikers, I think that there is a major flaw in the way he plays. I think that in the EPL finals and a few of his most recent games for Chelsea, he has played like he wants to leave Chelsea. I think that it is fine he wants to leave, but what I am annoyed about is that he is negatively affecting Chelsea. Take the EPL finals for instance, he got a red card for getting upset with the referee's. I know that he has a bad temper, but he should have thought about how he was affecting the chances of Chelsea winning the game. If I was in his position, I would have taken my anger by scoring my pk, rather than getting a red card and making my teams chance of winning the finals less likely. Then, Anelka wouldn't have had to chicken out of the pk (another thing I disagreed with, though there's apart of it I was ok with) and Terry wouldn't have had to slip and miss the pk. Overall, I think Drogba should leave Chelsea, or at least have an attitude change lol! (the second option would be my favorite :P)

]]>2008-06-16 22:44:33<![CDATA[Bicycle! Scissors! WOW!!]]> Hey guys! Sorry for going BLOG CRAZY but this is my first day and I have a lot to write about! I was playing some soccer today (like all other days) and it was my first time with a fair amount of people. We did the usual drill etc. and then a little later we started scrimmaging! It was fun, but something made me laugh so hard during the scrimmages. There were a few people that were going scissor kick obsessed! They would do it after every dribble, but the thing was, it got so predictable that when one of em actually just went around me, I missed the ball! The scissors were becoming easier to defend then there simple stuff! (though one of the reasons he juked me was cause I was calling him "Scissor Dude" and laughing while trying to defend him :P) We beat his team 4-0 and 3-2 twice, one of are goals the second game, from me doing a full field goal kick (it wasn't to hard cause it's 4v4 in a small field) One thing I have to say about doing fancy moves is...after doing the same ones every time, they become predictable! There success is because they are usually un-predictable, but if you only perfect one, they don't work! That guy officially hated me and we are now enemies! All I can say is that, I can't wait to laugh in his face tommarow!!!

]]>2008-06-16 19:25:45<![CDATA[Wayne Rooney, What I think he Should Improve on!]]> Hey again! So when you think of a famous forward, doesn't Wayne Rooney pop into you head sometimes. Well at least for me, It pops into my head a lot. I think that Wayne Rooney is a good forward, don't get me wrong about that, BUT I think that he has some trouble's he might have to work on. When you think of the position striker, you think of scoring goals. This is one problem with Rooney, he misses to many 1v1's with the keeper. One on one is a very good opportunity to score...I mean, your all alone with a keeper and a huge goal, what's to stop you? Well, our friend Wayne misses many of them by kicking them outside of the goal. Remember the game vs. Aston Villa, Man United won 5-1! I mean wow, that means you totally out classed the team, that's great for United, but here's the thing, they could have won 7-1 or even more if Rooney had converted his 1v1's. Ronaldo gave him so many great opportunities with his great passes and he only converted a lousy TWO! I mean seriously, I could've converted many of the ones he didn't. I bet he could have gotten a double hat trick, or at least gotten close to one if he has converted the opportunity's. I think that he might be trying to be to fancy, but I think he should just try to get the ball into the goal! End of Story! :P
