Is there a new stadium deal in place? I'm assuming there is because, as LaPared noted, this was the problem last time around. I'm worried that the MLS is expanding too fast. If the league gets too
large, it waters down an already thin talent pool, and the quality of play suffers. I'm thinking of the decline in scoring and quality of play in the NHL in its recent period of expansion.
I hope this happens and is successful this time. San Jose and the Bay area really need an MLS team.

This is good. Now there is a balance between the East and West divisions.( it should be one league IMO)But the new team is good for the MLS, good for popularity, sales, etc.
I am glad that you are excited, but I worry that there was a reason that the MLS moved out of San Jose in the first place. I hope for yours and the league's sake that those issues will be
resolved,
most noteably (sp?) Spartan Stadium. Best of luck, but in the meantime I am sure you're supporting the LA Galaxy. =~)
