Exactly 50 years ago today, we won our first League title. We can go some way to repeating that feat by beating our near neighbours this lunchtime.
A win today ensures that Airline FC have to get a result against their bitter rivals Spurs on Monday night to prevent what is surely now inevitable -- the title heading to Stamford Bridge.
The best news of the day is the return of Arjen Robben from injury, just in time for our Premiership and Champions League run-in.
Jose Mourinho said of Robben's return: "He is a special player and special players are always a plus. It's very important because Damien Duff and Joe Cole, because we don't have other solutions for these position, are playing consecutively.
"Over the last few games I try and protect them, take them off for the last ten minutes. Since we left 4-4-2 and play 4-3-3 our wingers have been very important. So it is good to have three for that position again."
We came out of the 0-0 draw with Airline FC with no fresh injury worries -- but Mourinho may rest a few players in preparation for Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Liverpool.
Mikael Forssell and Robert Huth could well be given rare starts.
Geremi, Paulo Ferreira and Wayne Bridge are all still sidelined.
Score prediction: History is against Fulham as they have not beaten us since 1979 and have not enjoyed a top flight maximum over us since the 1-2 success on 7 March, 1964. With this in mind, and Petr Cech just one clean sheet away from equalling Manchester United's Premiership record of 24 shut-outs in a season, I cannot see this ending in anything other than a Blues victory. 2-0.
