Rumoured tensions with Chelsea suggest Hernan Crespo might not remain at Milan, though Parma admit the Alberto Gilardino move is coming to a head.

Assuming Crespo signed a three year contract with Chelsea, it makes no sense to loan him to Milan. They should buy him.

A loan arrangement cannot be good for Chelsea in business terms, as Crespo would be in a position to sign a pre-contract with Milan for nothing.

I have not liked the way Milan have taken us for a ride. They have behaved as if they are doing us a favour. Let Crespo come back now during the transfer window so that our options remain open on him.

Why not a straight swap for Milan's left-back, Kakha Kaladze? Seems negotiations with Milan are protracted. Apparently they're pissed off with us constantly being linked with Andriy Shevchenko.

I doubt Crespo would be much use to us in the Premiership; his heart's not in English football.

Mark, I fear you are right about Crespo's heart; however you cannot blame me for asking one question. At what point did he change his heart? Before or after signing the lucrative contract with Chelsea?

If what you say is correct, which it is judging from the noises he has been making, then he is in breach of the contract. He should consider releasing himself from the "90K a week" contract. If I were a lawyer I would go as far as to say that he should compensate Chelsea for specific performance.

Chelsea paid value consideration for his services as a soccer player. It is his duty to find the motivation to honour that contract. A contract is a contract and Crespo should know that because he is not a kid. I insist Milan should buy him otherwise it is a fraud.

Swapping with Kaladze is okay, the problem is that Milan seem to put a higher valuation on Kaladze! I hold the converse view.
