Huth joins Middlesbrough

Wednesday, 30 August 06, 11:05 PM · Comments (7)

Robert Huth has finally completed his £6m move to Middlesbrough.

Huth initially agreed to join Gareth Southgate's side during the World Cup but subsequently failed a medical because of a persistent ankle injury.

The German international has since had a operation and today signed a five-year contract with the Teesiders.

Good for Huth and i wish him luck at Middlebrough.

Anybody with a hint on Ashley cole's coming? Its not the end of the world if he can't come as Wayne Bridge has surprised me with his level of game in recent times.

Nick, could you please include a section in this blog for updates on our injury list. i would really like to know how Joe cole is recovering. we have missed him very much.

To be honest, rather than sign Ashley Cole, I'd much rather make sure Gallas stays here for at least this season, if not for the next two or three, with no questions asked. Arsenal's offer for him and alleged price of Cole as five times as much is disgusting. Gallas is much more useful alone than Ashley Cole ever will be to the squad, whether he wants to leave or not. Now that Huth's left, it's even more important that he stays.

A new striker is more important at this moment in time.

Argentina striker Carlos Tevez says he and team-mate Javier Mascherano have agreed to sign for West Ham.
The World Cup duo, who both play for Corinthians in Brazil, are set to move to Upton Park on a year-long loan.

(according to the BBC site).......

Dylbo - West Ham have been our feeder club for a while now, and what with Roman Abramovich's connections with MSI - the 'owners' of Tevez and Mascherano - this deal could be a way of a 'acclimatising' the two players, see how they handle the Premiership and London life. ;-)

According to Boro chief exectutive Keith Lamb, Huth has signed a contract with the Teessiders but Peter Kenyon hasn't signed the appropriate papers that would complete the move because he's otherwise engaged trying to finalise the Ashley Cole transfer.

If you read this skysports link : LINK firm on Huth and Viduka

You will see although a fee is agreed Huth has not gone yet, due to paperwork, as kenyon is at arsenal sorting out ashley cole transfer, i hope he comes as he is a great left back and i think we need him. Only time willl tell until everything becomes alot clearer, i hope we keep billy g too though.
