A small cheque for a big Czech has made Jiri Jarosik a Chelsea signing proper rather than him just arriving on loan.
I cannot imagine Scott Parker is jumping for joy at this news as I'm guessing Jarosik has just bumped him out of being Makelele's understudy.
Expect to see Jarosik almost immediately in the FA Cup and Carling Cup games we have coming up.
Welcome Jiri.

Actually, the chelsea website lists him as an attacking midfielder. Jose is truly difficult to read. Lampard’s understudy? Someone to put pressure on Lampard to get even more out of him? Me, I think if this guy turns out to be good, he might end up as the third guy in midfield. We’ll soon find out.
Mourinho’s recent comment was that Chelsea would only enter the transfer market to bring in cover for Parker – that’s partly why I’m assuming Jarosik is earmarked as a defensive midfield player.
It’s possible that Geremi might be the player who eventually makes way. Johnson, Cole, Parker, Smertin, Kezman – all make regular appearances, Geremi I’ve barely seen all season, same with Babayaro and we all know what happened to him!
Personally, I don’t want Gerrard. I don’t want us buying top players from our major rivals – arse and manU. For the same reason, I won’t want Henry or Nistelroy. As for Gerrard himself, he misses too many matches through injury, and can be a liability (especially in the CL) with his reckless tackling.
Let’s not waste our time discussing Gerrard now. He will not be coming this January, but by the summer, he would join Chelsea. The thin hope Liverpool is holding on to is just that – thin hope!
Gerrard as a player and captain is too burdened. While he undoubtedly has the will to do a good job of both, his body betrays him and he knows time is not exactly on his side if he wants to win something big in the game.
In Chelsea, he will be in good hands. He will not be captain; he would be asked to focus strictly on fitness and training. Mourinho certainly will improve him as a player and be sure that the Chelsea machine will give him the competition and incentive he needs to keep fit. If Chelsea wins the league, it would be another thug at Gerrard’s heart and when he goes to Chelsea he would know he has to dream bigger dreams than the Premiership title.
The Chelsea stage is perfect for Gerrard, but we’ll first have to work on his fitness and find a solution or better management for that seemingly ‘injury-prone nature’.
But, having said that, I love the idea of bringing in experienced but relatively unknown players into the Chelsea fold, but better still is the idea that Chelsea can actually grow their own players, like John Terry, for instance. I’m happy that the club is developing in all areas.
CHEERS!

I don’t know how he plays and i would’nt be watching the FA cup match on saturday cos i’ll be away on an assaingment but i feel he’ll be good cos he’s got a good height for a defensive midfielder.Hope to see him more against manutd.
Anyway,
Jiri Jarosik,wellcome mate!!!
Hey Blingo
Dont know mate but offlate u sound very negative. Whts wrong with Jiri signing for Chelsea, if he is good enough to fit in scheme and get results for the team, he will and should play which in my opinion is more imp for the team rather than Parker playing for the team.
Of course if he is not good, Parker is always thr and more importantly we never know wht role Jose assigns him.
Relax and njoy the feeling that Chelsea is on top of league and doing gr8.
