First Henry, now Kolo

Saturday, 12 May 07, 12:17 PM · arses (25)

A snippet in a story in today's El Mundo talks about how Barcelona president Joan Laporta met with the players to 'harangue' them for their 4-0 defeat against Getafe in midweek.

Afterwards he spoke with Rijkaard and Txiki Begiristain about the need for a midfielder along the lines of Edgar Davids or Michael Essien. Even though they are currently in 'advanced negotiations' with De Rossi from Roma, the names they came up with, apparently, are Xabi Alonso, David Albelda from Valencia and Kolo Toure.

You know, if you listed every player that was reportedly in negotiations with Barcelona under Laporta's reign I think you'd cover every league in world football - apart from Dublin men's Astro League 6.
