Flamini - "Arsenal is my priority"

With the sale of Lassana Diarra and the obvious decline of Gilberto the midfield situation at Arsenal is a strange one. Not least because one of the players of the season, Mathieu Flamini, has yet to sign a new deal. His contract runs out in June or July, at which point he can leave on a Bosman.

It would be a big blow to lose him, but there are signs that we should be hopeful. Speaking to the official Arsenal magazine the Flamster says:

I'm talking with the club. You know, I am very happy here and have some close friends. I really hope that I'll be staying here and I'm very optimistic about it.

Arsenal is my priority and I hope that everything gets sorted out because I love this club, the atsmosphere is amazing - the new stadium, the supporters, everything. We're creating a new story here and I want to be part of that story.
