Here I was all ready to put up a piece on Barça's recent run-in with the proverbial pothole along the campaign road--and then I saw this article from KS Leong. As I read it something started to rise in my throat. No, not bile, but words. Some of what he said made sense, especially the references to the club presidents and the ridiculously short tenures of the average La Liga coach. But some of it was just plain wrong, especially with respect to the players.
What I object to most about La Liga is how confidence is not nurtured in a club. In order for it to manifest within a club, confidence must start at the top with the club owner or president. That person must show not only a love of...

Over 30 years ago, this American came to love the sport by way of Guam. It may have been pivotal that his first coach was a Spaniard with the self-declared moniker of 'Don Pedro'. Since then, the love of tiki-taka and all things La Liga has been foremost. This especially applies to Barça.
