Here's a Thought: Barça in the MLS

Barça have nine consecutive wins after this latest 0-2 away victory against Recreativo. So far so good, eh? So, let's talk about something else, like Barça in the USA via the MLS. Yeah, I know it likely bores a lot of people to hear that FCB is making a serious bid to own a MLS franchise in Miami with the Bolivian business magnate, Marcelo Claure. But, if you're American and you like football (or as we in the US like to use the old Brit nickname, soccer), this is very interesting news.
Seriously, it's big news here. If FC Barcelona gets approval from the MLS commission I sense it will have a large impact on the game here, and in new directions as well. For one, the Latino factor of the USA will finally have a very respected and established focal point. That's not to say that Chivas USA hasn't been that for many Hispanics...

Old Story, New Setting

After finding this place I decided to relocate my blog to here, since it might actually be read by somebody. Seriously, it was a pleasant surprise to find OleOle.com, since football really is a passion of mine, one of the few things in my life I've never lost interest in.
Looking forward to a lengthy relationship here, and I hope to connect with many like minded folk.

Over 30 years ago, this American came to love the sport by way of Guam. It may have been pivotal that his first coach was a Spaniard with the self-declared moniker of 'Don Pedro'. Since then, the love of tiki-taka and all things La Liga has been foremost. This especially applies to Barça.
