UPDATE: According to Sky Sports News, the agent of Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko admitted that Roma are interested in his client. Oliver Wendt told romagiallorossa.com:
“It is true, yesterday Daniele Prade was in London to better understand the situation of Pavlyuchenko but we don’t know the real intentions of the Giallorossi … However, the player will surely leave Tottenham as he wanted to leave them this summer.”
“It is a feasible piece of business with Roma, but we need to see the needs of the two clubs in question. Roman would be willing to transfer to the Italian capital.”
November 18th, 2009 According to ESPN Soccernet, Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko would love to return to Spartak Moscow if he is given the chance. He told Sportbox,
“I have a huge desire to return … If I receive a good offer, I’ll be sure to accept it. Spartak has a place in my heart, always.”
“In my first year in England, I played consistently, scored goals and was successful with the national team. I had an insight into English football and learned a lot. It was a good, if not completely positive, experience and will be helpful for the future, so I have no regrets, but the current situation doesn’t suit me.”
According to Alan Nixon at MirrorFootball, Sheffield United are interested in Wolverhampton goalkeeper Carl Ikeme. Ikeme is currently playing for Charlton on loan.
UPDATE: According to Jordan Cross at The News, Sulaiman Al Fahim admitted that he wants to sign Zamalek striker Amr Zaki and believes the club can, but its not his decision. He said,
“It’s not my decision, it is up to Paul Hart and Avram Grant but I would like to see Amr Zaki … He loves Portsmouth. He calls me almost every week and he wants to be part of the Portsmouth team.”
“He is a player who could add value … The price we could get him for is also good.”
November 15th, 2009 According to Alan Nixon at MirrorFootball, Portsmouth are interested in Zamalek footballer Amr Zaki and are trying to set up a loan deal.
According to Peter O’Rourke at Sky Sports News, Everton and Birmingham are both interested in Standard Liege striker Milan Jovanovic. Jovanovic’s contract ends after the season so the club might decide to cash in on him in January.
According to Stoke City’s official website, Stoke City have loaned out midfielder Michael Tonge to Preston North End for six weeks.
According to Salvatore Landolina at Goal.com, Juventus youngster Sebastian Giovinco will not be leaving the club for Liverpool in January. His agent Luca Pasqualin said,
“I don’t think there is much to read into the reports in the sense that Giovinco will remain at Juventus … I don’t know who came out with the news, but I can say that Giovinco will stay in Turin. That is the truth.”
“To be honest I have not read the article, but even if I did, I wouldn’t have read too much into it … Giovinco is a Juventus player and he has the faith of the coach and the club … [As for Liverpool], there are no real comments to make. He will stay at Juve.”

November 18th, 2009 According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn midfielder Steven Reid is prepared to join QPR on a one-month loan.
According to Simon Bird at MirrorFootball, Chelsea are interested in signing £4million Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson. The plan is to purchase him in January and then loan him back until the end of the season.
According to Peter O’Rourke at Sky Sports News, Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton will leave the club when his contract ends. The 23-year-old’s advisor, Tony Coton, said,
“Tom’s contract is up in the summer and he will be leaving Manchester United … Tom is ready to move on as he wants to be playing regularly at this stage of his career.”
“Ideally he would like to move on in January rather than waiting until the summer as he just wants to be playing … There are about half a dozen clubs interested in him and I am sure United would agree to letting him leave for a small fee if someone came in for him.”
